Check this out! Unbelievably bad taste...

Obviously respect for the dead isn't something they teach in Britain! :wtf:

Jesus Mike.... you make me feel like I'm somehow complicit in this...

Not at all, Kev, not at all. Just another prize example of how the UK press, media and marketing firms aim for the absolute lowest common denominator. Not to worry, though. Oz has started to go the same way of recent years, so it's only a matter of time before we too are subjected to the same insulting behaviour.

Mind you, it got me thinking of similar ways they could plumb the depths of bad taste...

Midnight Express: starring AIDS casualty Brad Davis!
The Ghost Writer: the latest film from alleged pedophile and child rapist Roman Polanski!
Ravenous: starring convicted pedophile and child pornographer Jeffrey Jones!

...off the top of my head. I'm sure there's hundreds more... :drum:

Or howabout:

The Fearless Vampire Killers: starring tragic, slaughtered-while-she-was-still-pregnant, Charles "Helter Skelter" Manson victim Sharon Tate!

Or maybe...

Giant: starring Hollywood legend, anal-sex freak and AIDS victim, Rock Hudson!

That is a pretty crass marketing tactic.

Yep. My jaw hit the floor when I saw it. :wtf:

Not quite on topic, but what's up with this?

I'd watch that! Hell, I'd even donate money to any fund that could follow through on it in real life! :shake:

Went over to Amazon UK and was gratified to see that this DVD got a 1 star review. Apparently it is of bootleg quality.

This one does seem to be plumbing a new depth - though I do remember being taken aback by some of the Shameless marketing with crap like "Whores with saws" on the TORSO release.

Jesus, those taglines were appalling.... 'The critter from the shitter'.... dear god.

Jesus, those taglines were appalling....

Yes, yes they were. It was like they were trying to sell cult Euro-titles to readers of The Sun. I bought a lot of Shameless discs, but I loathed the packaging.
