This is cool. Refn is a true cinephile, let's get him to post here!

And it's free?

Doubtfully free. And it’s undecided if discs will ever be released for everything he’s got.

"Self described as a “cultural expressway for the arts”, byNWR.com is a new website from the director behind Drive and The Neon Demon whose sole purpose is to spread the love when it comes to movies. For the princely sum of zero dollars / pounds, this site will showcase a range of movies from around the globe, all newly restored and many plucked from Refn’s private collection."

Unless I'm misreading that, it'll be free?

We'll know that he browses here if Bat Pussy is a featured title on his streaming service.

Yeah, I misread it while not feeling so hot. My mistake. But I can't imagine it will always be free. How could he afford to do so?

He's bought a ton of stuff off of SWV, so I'm sure he's already well-aware of BAT PUSSY...

I'm guessing low running costs and ads. Youtube is free. My reading on that article is that it doesn't sound like he'll be having many films available at any one time so subscriptions would be hard to sell.

I like it. When the worlds gone off it's rocker, hunker in your bunker and watch some good trash you've never heard of. It looks like a pretty humble offering to start off with but I do like the idea of this.

Yeah, all the fearmongering is getting pretty played out these days.

Sadly, the odds of Queen writing him a kickass theme song are pretty much nil.

Sadly, Denmark has become a social welfare uptopia, so it’s no wonder that he’s voicing his tired, lamestream narrative. He’s trying to become somewhat relevant, whether it’s by doing this, or using his name to hawk some bullshit that can’t stand on its own merits. Oh yeah, I enjoyed Drive much more when it was called Thief.

The 1980 movie or the old 30's serials?

I think that either one applies.

Refn is the new Prof. Brian O'Blivion. Is he paying the Guardian?

I'm beginning to worry that I'll get a brain tumour if I stream his movies.

I've checked it out here and there. The piece by Margaret Doll Rod is really good, if frank and not exactly pleasant. Very long piece too, took me well over an hour to read.

Bob Clark's She-Man has been added recently and Olga's House Of Shame is coming in July and Orgy Of The Dead in August.

A year later and I'm finally gonna start checking out this cool site! I've just watched the first film, "The Nest of the Cuckoo Birds", once a lost film, and, woah, what a weirdo surprise. I hadn't read anything about it. It's veery obscure. I loved it. I downloaded it and watched it on my tv. The pq is excellent.

I noticed Jimmy McDonouch, once co-editor of "Sleazoid Express" zine is writing for the site.

Here's an article about "Nest". Oh, and yeah it's the film that The Cramps made a track about.
