Available 9/26:

Nightbreed (same old same old 101 minute cut)
Demon Seed
From Beyond The Grave
Night of the Lepus
Trog
Giant Behemoth
Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman
Queen Of Outer Space
Sweet Hostage

And as Shawn mentioned elsewhere, The Pack and The Phantom Of Hollywood.

A lot of this stuff was available as factory pressed media not all that long ago - so is Warner now keeping older titles in print by way of the Warner Archive program? It looks like it.

2184
2185
2186

Can you believe it? They turned NIGHTBREED into a DVD-R!

I learned of these last night from HTF. But KILLER PARTY was also on that list, and there is NO indication Warner has it up yet. It doesn't come up on a search.

But, NIGHTBREED . . . DVD-R?!

It wouldn't sting as much if it were the uncut version fans have wanted for years, but this is just a plain old reissue. I have a feeling we're going to see this happening a lot.

There's a whole big article on Barker's site about the extra footage. They located a VHS of a much longer version, but that's all they got. They would need to find the original elements, but still it wouldn't matter, Barker was told by the studio that they have no intention of putting out a longer cut because they think that version is NOT in demand, and this is despite all that fan feedback that's posted underneath the news of the footage being found.

Warner is STILL selling the mass market DVD of FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE. Why then create a DVD-R?

No idea but it does look like it's out of print. Demon Seed and Night of the Lepus too.

FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE (http://www.wbshop.com/From-Beyond-the-Grave/1000020029,default,pd.html?cgid=). Mass market DVD still in stock from Warner. Have to remember to pick THIS ONE up some time.

Amazon's only got it from sellers so once it's gone, it's probably gone. It's been out for a few years now, as a single disc and in a boxed set with a few other horror titles, The Twisted Terror Collection, which amazon has in stock (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000TSMO70/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=cognitrespon-20&linkCode=as2&camp=217145&creative=399373&creativeASIN=B000TSMO70) for $12.99. A much better deal as for the extra $3 you get Deadly Friend, Dr. Giggles, Eyes of a Stranger, The Hand and Someone's Watching Me.

I suspect THE HAND will one day show up on DVD-R. Thank God, I bought it in it's initial mass market form. My guess is, though, Stone's commentary won't be ported over.

Did anyone see that workprint of Nightbreed that was screened at conventions? I'm curious. I thought it was a good but flawed film.
