I wonder if this print of New Year's evil is the same one that EPIX3 has been showing the past year. It looks good, but is full frame.

About 90% of the time when something is on TCM that I don't want to miss, I miss it..I make notes so I won't forget, and I still forget till two hours after the movie has ended. It happened when Stunt Rock was on a couple weeks ago. I've wanted to see it for years, but of course I forgot to turn the tv on. It just happened again a few hours ago with Motel Hell. I've actually seen that, but it's been a few years.

Have you done something to piss off the Movie Gods? This, too, has happened to me, and it kills me to no end when I do it.

Jamie Edwards

It's happened to me so many times that it's become a joke (a frustrating joke!). I know if I make a note about it, it's almost sure I'll miss the movie. Doesn't matter if I send a reminder email to myself, or if I write it down on paper.

Weird. When I paste that list, it's all in caps, it looks fine, then I post it and it goes to lower case. Can't figure out how to fix it. Driving me nuts. Must leave vicinity of computer.

Randy G

Truly great that it's getting aired on TV. Anywhere.

Alex K.
09-11-2012, 08:44 AM
It's awesome but never in a million years would I guess that TCM of all channels would show the Story of Ricki.

Gets me thinking that perhaps in the near-future there will be a TCM2 that will focus on cult exploitation films? Or at least TCM 1 that focuses on films from the 20's to the 50's and TCM 2 would focus on 60's to the 80's and early 90's.

This got my blood boiling in all the best ways possible. Also apparently Lux did end up stabbing the main character in that scene.

Thanks for the breakdown, Shawn. I'll tune in for A PLACE OF ONE'S OWN (1945) and ROSIE (1960). Never heard of either film. The rest I have on disc.

This Saturday night (tonight) we inaugurated our own Creature Features in this household. A double-feature of classic horror | monster | sci-fi films from around the world every Saturday night. We finished WHITE ZOMBIE and start on TWO ORPHAN VAMPIRES in a few minutes.

ROSIE (1960). Never heard of either film.

According to TCM's site:
Rosie (1960): A failed pilot to a TV sitcom about an eerie-looking talking dog that befriends a boy.
