This is just a repackaging of three previously available DVDs that were put out when Tarantino was doing the Rolling Thunder thing through Miramax. Now they're back in one handy dandy set. This comes out through Lionsgate 4/16/13 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BLF9FXG/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00BLF9FXG&linkCode=as2&tag=cognitrespon-20).

Some good stuff on this set...

Only one I watched was Switchblade Sisters. Never saw the other two.

Detroit 9000 is great. One of my favorite blaxploitation flix, comparable IMO to ACROSS 110th STREET.

Mighty Peking Man is fun, but plays better in the Chinese version.

I never picked these up when they were first released, so I guess I'll pick this up, but the SWITCHBLADE SISTERS DVD was nonanamorphic and it would be nice if they gave it a new transfer.

Other than CHUNGKING EXPRESS, was anything else released on DVD under the Rolling Thunder Pictures banner? I know that SONATINE was going to be, but Miramax just shoved it into its ZATOICHI release.

SONATINE had a solo VHS release under the Rolling Thunder banner.

CURDLED (1996 Angela Jones, William Baldwin) is the only other release they had that I'm aware of. It had a VHS and a DVD release. It's the only one I haven't seen. It's OOP and commands reasonable bucks: http://www.amazon.com/Curdled-Angela-Jones/dp/B0000DZTIZ/ref=sr_1_1?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1362082153&sr=1-1&keywords=curdled .

I remember picking it up in the video store everytime I was there but I always put it back.

Rolling Thunder put out Hardcore Logo on VHS and DVD. And technically wasn't The Beyond a Rolling Thunder release through Anchor Bay way back when?

Oh yeah I forgot about HARDCORE LOGO!

I think Rolling Thunder put THE BEYOND out in theaters for midnight shows but didn't have anything to do with any home releases, going by what I can remember anyways. I could be, and probably am wrong.

The Rolling Thunder logo was on the opening of the AB The Beyond DVD along with the Grindhouse Releasing logo. But I'm sure AB owns the rights and LG can't release it.

I told you I was wrong. Told you.

Actually given that Grindhouse re-released it a few years after the AB release, the rights are probably still with them.

I thought it was through AB? If not, my bad.

Thanks guys. I knew that Miramax had released more titles under the Rolling Thunder Pictures banner. I wonder if Lionsgate will re-issue those in another Rolling Thunder Pictures Triple Feature.

I went to Target to pick up the DJANGO UNCHAINED Steelbook and they had this, so I picked it up. Unfortunately, it is all three films jammed onto one disc and all the special features have been dropped.

Derrick, is the transfer of SWITCHBLADE SISTERS anamorphic? It wasn't anamorphic on the previous DVD, although it was letterboxed.

It is anamorphic, but I don't know if it is a new transfer or if they just used the old one and created a fake anamorphic transfer.

Putting three films on one DVD is kind of dubious, to me. Lousy bit rate. Blu-ray discs have more storage capacity than DVDs.

I've heard of fake mattes, but not fake anamorphic. I suppose that's possible.
