Tweeted to Alex Winter and he said this is the first he's heard of a Blu-ray, but amazon has a pre-order for FREAKED Blu-ray (http://www.amazon.com/Freaked-Blu-ray/dp/B00D50D8D8)

I fully expect this not have the special features from the DVD, so you'll need to hang on to it (like the other Fox titles that Anchor Bay has released on Blu)

Whoah. I never thought that would happen. I hope that they include the "Entering Texas/BBQ"/Butthole Surfers short on the blu.

Don't count on that too much, if they do as usual you'll get an extraless blu without a menu.

They don't usually do that though. They've done plenty of proper special editions.

This was a nice surprise to hear about. Hopefully there are a few decent supplements included with it.

Unfortunately, all the Fox titles that Anchor Bay has released on Blu have dropped the special features.

Ah, didn't realize this was a Fox pick up. That being the case, Jimmy's probably right. Hopefully AB comes through, but yeah, the Fox pick ups have all been movie only.

I didn't realize that they've been so bare bones about their blu rays. The 2-disc dvd is pretty tricked out with extras, so I was assuming that they would port everything over (hehe... and then add some extras that I wanted). Ah well. Guess I'll hang onto my dvd at this point.

Yeah, because Randy Quaid is the reason we all loved that movie.

Same terrible cover as the DVD
