I guess he's out of jail already? Supposedly he was arrested and his cover was blown last month.

I didnt read about that!!!!

You can never be too sure about it though...I am pretty sure BANKSY is not just one guy.....

i thought THIS was amazing though at the end of that story....

As soon as news of the arrest was made, the City of London Police say they began receiving dozens of phone calls from people either claiming to be Banksy, or claiming to be with him. As of 6 PM London time, hundreds of people were gathered outside the London Police Department chanting “I’m Banksy!” and holding signs demanding his release. Various local news stations have reported witnessing the crowd parting for a blind woman who attempted to turn herself into authorities claiming that she was in fact the real Banksy.

Straight out of a Monty Python sketch!!!

I've seen it, it's fantastic. I still don't know how much of it I think is actually a put on or not, but they do what they do really well.

That was the beauty of it though.....it was SO well done, you never know what is real and what is not......

Agreed. And the fact that so much of it remains a mystery years later means somebody over there is doing something right.

In Melbourne this week we lost 2 of our ever dwindling supply of Banksy's. They were on the side of a shop. The owner went away for a couple weeks and left grandad in charge. Granddad thought what a nice surprise it would be for his grandson to come home to nice white painted walls rather than all that nasty graffitti.

The mystery of banksy is nothing compared to the mystery street artist of the 80's who signed all his work "Ozzy"

So now there's a Banksy parody artist calling himself Hanksy running around NYC painting pictures of James Gandolfini?

And... Banksy shoots his mouth off about the World Trade Center. (http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/banksy-disses-1-wtc-canadian-vanilla-article-1.1498564)

Well, you know my take on this already, but....I'll shorten it up here. You can think that the building is ugly. You can call the building ugly. Saying that it pretty much says that "the terrorists won" is fucking stupid and insensitive, and I'd expect it from a jackass with no brain. Saying that it looks "Canadian" when Canada hardly holds the patent for unimaginative, generic looking buildings (when most major cities are full of them) makes you sound like a pretentious dickbag who doesn't know anything outside of Jolly Ol' England.

Long story short, if you're gonna be an artist who can't think before you open your stupid mouth, maybe you're better off just letting the painting do the talking.

You know what I will extend this bit to EVERY singer, sports star, reality star....and everyone else who is not famous because of their great wisdom or thinking.....

He should stick to doing stuff like this though...

"the terrorists won"

Considering what we have done to ourselves and this country since 911 I think this is a true statement. But a bland building has nothing to do with it.

I just bought a Ted Nugent Blu ray and enjoyed it immensely. I like Vince Flynn novels too. Shit, I'll even listen to early MEGADETH.

But Banksy sounds like one of those "look at me!" Madonna type idiots with these statements. I think some of his work is pretty cool but he should just shut up and let the art do the talking.

I find this applies to the majority of 'celebrities' be they on the left or the right side of the political spectrum.
