This looks ridiculous and I want to see it.

A Baba Films production & Eros International presents ‘Action Jackson’. Directed by Prabhu Dheva. The film is produced by Gordhan P Tanwani & Sunil Lulla.

Action Jackson is Prabhu Deva’s new family entertainer that will set your feet tapping to it’s beat and get the film stuck in your mind featuring Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, Yami Gautam & Manasvi Mamgai. A fun, small time crook gets entangled with a relentless girl who is convinced that he will bring her good luck. The consequences that result in are hilarious, masala-filled and thoroughly entertaining.

2 hours and 25 minutes of sheer AWESOMENESS!!!

Its a bit violent to be called a "family entertainer" though...goes all HARDBOILED JOHN WOO at one point!!

A.J . is super cool....the guy even has his own theme song that plays when he fights!

Realised after watching it that now BOLLYWOOD movies are shorter than Hollywood ones these days!!!...and FAR more entertaining..Honestly, this one has a bit of everything in it...it even has a bit of 3-d animation in the middle!..

Really Ian..Get it watched at first opportunity..its great!

12-08-2014, 11:51 AM
You know it makes sense!!!

The bits where the bad guys piss him off and he goes into overdrive are fantastic!!!

Sukeban - would you say the soundtrack CD for this one is worth getting?

12-26-2014, 10:42 PM
HAHA..I am the wrong person to ask...because I liked this movie so much I would probably pick up just about ANYTHING related to it automatically!!!:funny:

That soundtrack is worth it for the cover alone!!!

I noticed this is actually playing at the Bollywood theater in my neighborhood right now, but I can't find out if it's got subs or not.

If it DOES have subs...You really need to make it your Christmas Mission to see it in a theater Ian...There is NO EXCUSE to miss this opportunity!!

If it doesn't have subs I would watch the DVD first as it will increase your enjoyment if you know whats going on....If you dont have chance to see the DVD I wuld go to the theater anyway..Even if you dont get the plot twists / verbal humour..you will still have a great time with the visuals...

Checked this theatre out online and it's its own little theatre. Thought it must be part of another small theatre in the area, but no. I know nothing about this place (which for Northern Queens is odd!).

How awesome is that poster!!!

Regarding the OST...I have the tracklist....

3 -Chichora Piya - Himesh Reshammiya & Shalmali Kholgade
4 -Dhoom Dhaam - Ankit Tiwari & Palak Muchhal
5 -Gangster Baby - Neeraj Shridhar & Neeti Mohan
6 -Keeda (Remix) - Himesh Reshammiya & Neeti Mohan

9 -Keeda (Reprise) - Himesh Reshammiya & Neeti Mohan

I must point out that it doesnt look like it has the great AJ THEME SONG on it as far as I can make out....maybe a deal breaker for me!!:funny:

and as for a plot for the movie....

Vishi is a local goon who basically likes beating up people to get his work done but is nonetheless a kind-hearted person. On the other hand Khushi is an extremely clumsy girl who keeps losing her chances with destiny and gets suddenly lucky after she accidentally meets Vishi. Amidst the building chemistry between Khushi and Vishi, local cops and an international don named Xavier are on the look-out for AJ aka Jai who is a look alike of Vishi and is in the same city. The story takes a major turn of events when both AJ and Vishi come face to face. Will AJ’s past create problems for Vishi’s future?

Anyone, possibly a UK member, come across a preorder link or release date for this on Blu yet? I can't find anything and the way Bollywood stuff tends to be fast tracked to DVD/Blu these days makes me think if it's not coming soon, there's a problem.

02-07-2015, 02:02 PM
Nope...no sign of a release date yet.....Everywhere I checked they state "will notify you when it is released"

Well... no Blu-ray that I've been able to find but I did just grab the DVD for less than $10US shipped, so I'll take it.

Probably the best $10 you have spent in quite a while Ian!

Ha, I am feeling pretty good about my purchase but I bought it from India directly rather than pay twice as much from an importer so I probably won't see it for 2 weeks or so.

And so I must be patient...

03-10-2015, 09:57 AM
A.J. would appreciate the effort I feel....

Oddly enough a co-worker of mine takes Bollywood dance classes for exercise and she said that they were dancing to the soundtrack for this in her class last night.

I will probably get to a full review of the DVD in the next week or so, because damn it, someone should, but for those interested the Eros disc is fully Eng. subbed and that includes the musical numbers in the movie.

The local Bollywood DVD store in my neighborhood was selling bootlegs of this on the sidewalk today for $1.00.
