I made a steak and cheese for one of those dudes once in the 90s. Don't know which one, but he told me he thought the sandwich was awesome. Amazng and true story.

Maybe it was Marky and your cooking inspired him.

Wasn't Marky born in Queens? Why does it say Brooklyn's own? Are jews from Queens now known for their fine pasta sauces?

Ian Jane

Marky's not the original drummer, so he probably wasn't in Queens. His bio says he was born in Brooklyn. And I don't think he's Jewish as his birth name is Mark Bell. That said, Bell doesn't sound very Italian either.

Still, the man has his own spaghetti sauce. That counts for something.

I just don't think you should be down on the man's spaghetti sauce.

If his true name is "Bell" and he's made anything consumable you know it will be out of this fucking world awesome.

There was a club across the street from THE BEASTO BARN? Word!

Ricky Bell isn't Jewish, either.

If you're linking it from a shortened URL vBulletin doesn't like it.

If it's stored locally, make sure it's under 100k, hit the Insert Image button, select the file, upload it and it should work.

I've got the fucker shrunk to postage stamp size and it's still over 100 k... it's just pissing me off now. I'll try later.

Or just email it to me and I'll post it for you using my evil admin override powers.

That's awesome. I wonder when Brooklyn's Own will come to Brooklyn for a sauce signing?

I should see if he wants to do one in my office.

Awesome pics, Mike! Was he a cool guy? Why does he bring his Grammy around with him? Is that his proof that he's really Marky Ramone?

Mike Howlett

Marky was awesome! Very sweet to us, and talking to everyone a lot. He just got that Grammy a few days before this. I thought it was amazing that he let people hold it! I'd have been an asshole and said no way! But then, I'm not an awesome rock star.

Ian Jane

If I had a Grammy I'd wander around with it too.

Ian Jane

Mike, what did you make with your Marky sauce?

Lasagna? Ravioli? Spaghetti?

Mark Tolch
02-22-2011, 01:24 PM
That's pretty awesome, Mike! Nice work! I'd carry a grammy around too. On a bitchen neck chain made out of RAWK.

For some reason when I see this thread I keep thinking it says Marky Ramone in the Basement.

Stupid and boring but true.

You won't find Marky Ramone in the Basement. Because I don't think he wants to go down there.
