On May 10 AWE will release the Danish zombie film Opstandelsen (translation: Resurrection) on DVD. Directed by aspiring film maker Casper Haugegaard, the film was made on a budget of 50,000 DKR (approx. US$10,000) and shot in and around Oestofte church and cemetery.
The 22-year old director presented Opstandelsen to an enthusiastic audience in the fall of 2010. Since then, the film has been screened at film festivals around the world, and the reception from fans as well as critics has been enormous.
We are extremely proud to present Opstandelsen on DVD. The disc is packed with extras: Casper Haugegaards early effort Kaeldermenneske is included as bonus along with an audio commentary with the director and cinematographer Michael Panduro, a behind-the-scenes featurette, trailer and a selection of music videos with Cephalic Carnage, CrackMordaZ, Helhorse and Rotten Sound. To ensure that Opstandelsen will be enjoyed by zombie fans across the globe, we have subtitled the DVD (main feature only) in English.
