Florida punks Against Me! announced a slew of headlining U.S. dates this January and February, (see tour dates below) with Cheap Girls and Fences supporting. The band will be touring in support of their fifth studio album, White Crosses, released by Sire/Warner on June 8th, 2010. White Crosses was produced by veteran producer Butch Vig (Green Day, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins) who also produced Against Me!'s 2007 album New Wave. Against Me! is singer/guitarist Tom Gabel, guitarist James Bowman and bassist Andrew Seward, and 2011 will see new drummer Jay Weinberg (Madball, The E Street Band) joining them on the road. Tickets for a handful of shows are currently available but the majority will go on sale this Friday, December 10th. Visit www.againstme.net for the most current info and click here to read a new feature, compliments of Spin Magazine. Additionally, Sabot Productions will release an Against Me! single, take a peek at the details here!
Garnering much critical acclaim, with SPIN.com claiming “White Crosses… Gabel is at his best when he's feisty: "Spanish Moss" and "Rapid Decompression" feel closest to New Wave's sweet spot of fury and flash.,†and Kerrang commenting †Tom Gabel is still firing off socially conscious songs with every fiber of his body and those songs are still honest, blue-collar punk belters.â€. Rolling Stone added “the songs on White Crosses are “righteous, churning, gut-rollers.†Nylon Guys praises lead singer Tom Gabel as “a staggeringly prolific songwriter.â€

Judas Priest - Electric Eye – Movie Review:
The Judas Priest – Electric Eye DVD from Sony Music/BMG captures the band at the height of their popularity and was released just in time for what was, at the time, the upcoming reunion tour which saw original vocalist Rob Halford reuniting with the band...-

FLOTSAM AND JETSAM have been at this since the early 1980s and are probably best remembered for giving bassist Jason Newstead to METALLICA. Their first two records - Doomsday For The Deceiver and No Place For Disgrace are considered classics of the thrash metal genre but like many other acts that started strong on an indie label and wound up on a major label during the thrash signing boom ...-

Purchase From Amazon Recorded in Bulgaria - where life is cheap! Hot on the heels of his utterly bizarre We Are One collaboration (also reviewed here at RSP!), everyone's favorite Teutonic Metal ogre Herr Udo Dirkschneider returns with that ubiquitous staple - the live album. For a while now it has been common practice for legacy acts, or pretty much any band with a history over 20 years long, to release a live album...-

Released by: Massacre Records Released on: February 12, 2021. Purchase From Amazon “Metal in my head... EXPLODING!†Germany's WIZARD have been at this since 1991 and at this point have pretty much nailed this “true metal†thing down to a science. This, the band's 12th full length offers very little in the way of musical surprises and appears to be purposefully designed that way. WIZARD are catering to a very specific demographic - aficionados of gloriously irony-free...
