    Released by: Video-X-Pix
    Released on: 8/18/2006
    Director: Allen Stuart
Cast: Honey Wilder, Rachel Ashley, Karen Summer, Jerry Butler, Joey Silvera
    Year: 1985
    Purchase from TLA Video

    The Movie:

Honey Wilder runs a high-end whore hou- um, psycho-sexual clinic, that caters to wealthy people with sexual issues. “Patient” #1…Rachel Ashley is a single gal tired with the way men have treated her in bed and so now she's lost her desires. After some sensitive counseling from Honey, Rachel finds her desire immediately with the help of therapist Crystal Breeze. The next “patient” is Karen Summer with her husband Joey Silvera in tow. Joey builds bridges, and he flies a helicopter for kicks, so he doesn't have much time for romance with his wife. He gives Dr. Honey a bit of a hard time, not the genital kind mind you, and off he goes in his helicopter (not shown) leaving his wife Karen in the care of the good doctor. Therapist George Payne steps in to fill the void in Karen and takes her on a helicopter ride of her own.

Then there's “patient” number three: Jerry Butler. He makes over $100K a year, drives an '83 Porsche, can fuck any girl he wants, and has the most horrible porno mustache ever sported, but he's just not satisfied. He just fucks any of the girls he wants but doesn't feel any connection to them. Mamma Honey knows just thing to do. In one miraculous session, she bangs him into learning that love is all you need. Feel that? That's love. Be on your way Jerry. So Jerry finds Rachel at the bubble bath and they show one another all they have learned during their extended stays at the love clinic.

Joey flies his never-seen helicopter back to the facility and encounters his wife. That Joey is a tough cookie and this psycho dumbo jumbo isn't going to change things. But with just one session Honey's clinic cures them both, and Karen and Joey have the flame of romance back into their marriage. The prove it to the viewers by showing their taints.

As to why this is called The Sperminator is anyone's guess. As described, the story isn't very inspired, and there is some extended scenes of dialogue in between the floundering, filled with junk psychology and marginal acting. There are only five sex scenes, which are pretty lengthy, but also pretty average. Honey Wilder's scene with Jerry Butler is probably the standout one, mainly due to Honey's sexy hot older lady status. Other than that there's not anything real note worthy in this one. All the girls are attractive enough, so it fills that quota just fine. The editors make use of some cheapo video effects that don't really work to well other than to draw up a giggle or two. Maybe they felt it needed a little oomph here and there and try to help out this average 80s porno.

    Video/Audio/Extras:
This is a shot-on-video epic, so the transfer is from a tape source, but it's a decent one. It looks a little more attractive than a VHS tape, but it's pretty soft looking and murky. Not that it a distraction, and for this viewer it is the preferred way to watch 80s video smut. It helps to support the nostalgia that films from this era bring. No glitches to report and no bad spots in the tape source were noticed. The audio is a 2 channel Dolby Digital track, but its surly mono. Sounds it anyway. Also has a lot of hiss and it cuts out in spots. All no doubt to be contributed to the source, and not the authoring. There's only one extra item on the disc and that is a three-minute trailer for Roommates.

    The Final Word:
A good addition to the Honey Wilder collectors, but on the must-see scale, The Sperminator falls pretty far down the chart. It's no where near the bottom, but it's certainly run-of-the-mill.

We had this movie growing up. I actually downloaded a scene from it recently. Doesn't some guy compare himself to Maxwell House? ("I'm like Maxwell House...good to the last drop.")
