    The Movie:

No set up, just get right to it. A lesbian bathtub scene between a maid and her mistress starts things off before the story begins to unfold. But she isn't the main character. She's the neighbor. Next door, the lady of the house has suffered the loss of her rich husband whom left her with nothing but debt. The reading of the will leaves the recent widow in a situation where there's no choice but to succumb to the come-ons of the lawyer. You know, in order to survive. After a quickie, she agrees to allow another rich dude to move into her house for a while. That will pay all the bills she was left with, but she'll needs to stay in the servant's quarters. She ends up working for the rich dude and minding her own house for some income. That involves taking care of his crank too.

The next door neighbor, getting munched on at the beginning, and is rich, becomes her fast friend, showing her how to give a blow job (“suck is just an expression”) with the help of the chauffeur. She does ok after a while, but she needs to become more comfortable with her body. So she does, in the bath tub. After a vigorous session of bean flicking things move on to the big party her new boss/house renter has her throw. Party? That can only mean one thing: ORGY.

After some banter around the room at the big shindig, things go exactly where you expect (hope?) they will. The widow gives her new boss something to smile about when she gobbles his knob in front of everyone. She's really come out of her shell in such a short time. Everyone else comes out of whatever shell they were in and the meat starts slapping. The next night, her rich boss/tenant expresses his disliking her reluctance at first with her performance at the party and teaches her a lesson. Nothing handcuffs and a leather strap can't take care of. Later, a dinner party is in order and in attendance is all women. All women? That can mean only one thing: LESBIAN ORGY. And thrown into the mix…a lesbian stripper. A sexy one with a huge feather hat. Alright, lets get this going!

At this point the movie froze.

Up until that point, it's an entertaining piece of pornography. The sex is erotic, and as usual the story is foolish. Dialogue sounds clunky depending on who delivers it, and overall the acting leaves something to be desired. During the big party there's a number of conversations all ending in a corny joke, including a joke at the expense of E.F. Hutton (and yes, everyone listens). If you don't get the reference, you'll just wonder what the fuck just happened when you see it.

If you are familiar at all with Carter Steven's work, you'll know he put in some serious effort to make interesting smut. There's a real intent to make an adult movie, not an cumshot compilation and it always comes through in his work. Nice camera setups and motion, locations that lend themselves well to the story, and nice looking women. The kind of women the average guy may have a chance with. Charlie Latour may not be a very good actor, but she's a good looking older lady with a nice figure and some serious sex appeal. Baby Doe also has great sex appeal and seems to enjoy her work. It's easy to see why Carter had a relationship with her off camera.

White Hot is great early 80s smut shot on film. Attractive women, steamy, non-marathon sex, some laughable dialogue, and a porn intended to entertain as well as titillate…the best kind of porn there is.

    Video/Audio/Extras:

It seems quite evident that the transfer is taken from a tape, although the movie was shot on film. Things look ok, but not reference quality by far. Colors are washed, lines are soft, but there isn't much by way of dirt or debris on the print. The picture shakes throughout the running time, but you get used to it, Its not horrible, just annoying for a while. The movie kept freezing at about the 1 hour mark and no matter how many times it was restarted it froze over and over again. Audio is clear and understandable, no noise was noticed. It's serviceable for sure. Extras are limited to trailers, two of them, for “Blonde Ambition” (which looks pretty awesome), “Roommates”.

    The Final Word:

Quality 80s porn, looking like it comes from a quality 80s tape. Presentation isn't stellar but workable.
