Concluding a short series, this issue has the Danger Girl team retrieving a mysterious briefcase that could destroy large cities. Abbey has the briefcase but Asia, a former agent of The Hammer, is intent on not just retrieving the case but wiping out the entire Danger Girl squad. They have the information portion of their showdown on the back of a train, with the rest of the DG team in helicopters overhead.
But after the train crashes, Abbey's out of time and the case begins doing strange things. Primarily, it's protecting Abbey who's unable to let go of it. It also is spreading out a wave of deconstruction that's threatening everyone, from Asia to the DG team. Some quick, drastic action from Abbey plunges her into the nearby waters and then, suddenly, reverses time and all the destruction caused by the briefcase. So the ending sort of rewinds to just before this mission, with Abbey in retention of the case but not her memory of what happened. Meanwhile, Asia and The Hammer begin making sinister plans…
It's another fun, action-packed, over-the-top entry in the Danger Girl series that leaves with the promise of more similar stories to come. Andie Hartnell's script is always moving but keeps it light, with a focus on not losing the characters. Harvey Tolibao's artwork is packed with detail and colors that excellently convey the crazy level of action as well.
