    Released by: Dark Horse Comics
    Release on: February 12, 2014

Putting aside the creation of a new villian in the previous episode here the story focuses more on Leigh and her quest to find out more about X's past. The parallel story concerns crime tycoon Tango, his psychotic assistant Ella and their use of someone called the Night Watcher who predicts the future for Tango by reading the stars.

As it turns out, the Night Watcher is actually an ex-co-worker of Leigh's, from her newspaper days, who turned to making up horoscopes just to earn some extra cash. Now, though, his life is bound to this task as he's bound and chained, only having his gag removed to drink & feed. Meanwhile, Leigh finds her way to Sister Grace at an old orphanage and an ex-cop named Koolhaas. Both helped X on his way as a young boy/man but could detail how he fell in with the very people he now hunts down.

After the latest star reading Tango blows up some buildings and knocks power out to over half the city, inciting rioting and some sense of armed “justice” against the wealthy. X strides into this mess and eventually discovers Tango's star-gazing as the culprit. Tango, though, despite a warning from X, has now brought in hired big-time killers to dispatch X once and for all. A showdown with someone named Gamble whom X thought he'd previously killed ends on an exploding rooftop, with the ominous warning, “Don't look down…”

Swierczynski and Nguyen continue their winning run on this update of the masked vigilante, finding new ways to twist the knife and revel in its bloody fun.
