Faith has managed to successfully escort teen-Giles to the U.S., back to Buffy and in the nick of time as the zompires are in full swing and are going to take everything they've got to defeat. Faith still has her offer to join the “Delta Squad†of slayers but, right now, she's not sure of much of anything, especially after witnessing the emotional reunion of Giles with Buffy.
Angel, for his part, is trying to help in the section of London called “Magic Town.†Since he detonated the magic bomb that's responsible for this state of affairs he has special affinity for the place but he might be doing more harm than good. A gang of evil pixies send him a bloody message as they vie to control the place and during his investigation of them he finds himself face to face with a benefactor he thought had long-since died.
The action is swift and well-handled here by artist Will Conrad, jamming a great deal of action and variety into just about every panel. The story dovetails perfectly with the ongoing Buffy series, offering up other points of view and really giving a full press, thanks to Victor Gischler's turn with these characters after handling Buffy & Spike recently. A must-have if you're following the Buffy line at all.
