Prizrak and Agent Anderson's assault on Darabont's hideout didn't go as planned (or hoped) and as a result they were captured and get questioned by Mr. Darabont himself. It turns out the three all want the same thing and they hatch a plan to get those annoying White Suits. With the help of the mercenaries Darabont has in his employ they set a trap for the Russian assassins in New York City's Chinatown.

With guns blazing and motorcycles racing, The White Suits take the bait, which is Prizrak. They want him dead just as badly as he wants them all killed for leaving him, one of their own, for dead. Both sides suffer major casualties, but it's not over yet. There's one person unaccounted for from the Suits' ranks, and that's the boss.

Holy shit, this one is so jammed with action and bloodshed it's nearly an overload. But the team of Frank Barbiere and Toby Cypress lay it all out in an interesting way that helps it from becoming mindless shoot 'em up action (not that there's a single, solitary thing wrong with mindless shoot 'em up action). They switch back and forth between the conversation that hatches the plan between Prizrak, Anderson, and Darabont , with the plan itself as it happens. So the high energy action sequences are interrupted by the exposition which happened a short time before. It just flows really well and breaks up both the action and the talking and creates a great balance. And when they merge the two timelines it's seamless.

Cypress' style in this book provides an amazing energy to the action moments and his use of the color red in a book that is mostly black and white adds depth to his panels. And his use of angles and wacked-out laws of physics creates an insane atmosphere that really makes this book work. The story has been a great tale told with such effect and one can only hope this creative team continues to work together after the next and final issue.
