Part one of the latest tale from The Twilight Zone tells the story of a young woman, Diana, who works in a coffee shop in Manhattan, and is plagued with dreams of the city blowing up. They keep her awake at night, and disturb her greatly, and they are starting to affect her in a negative way. One morning an old gentleman walks into the shop and as a tip, he leaves an old and rare gold piece. He disappears into the crowd and she almost immediately experiences something like never before: clairvoyance.

She can see events before they happen, and she can hear people's thoughts, but she cannot control any of it. This can cause issues as one can imagine. It can also be beneficial, as is evident by something she does for a dog, but it can also be detrimental. She can also hear things she might not want to hear. And that dream about NYC blowing up? You're in the Twilight Zone, lady, where dreams can come true.

This story flows like one would expect when told by an extremely competent scribe, fan favorite J. Michael Straczynski. The script at this point is quite dialogue heavy but moves along nicely and he creates an instantly likeable character with Diana. The art by Guiu Vilanova is detailed and clean, and although it doesn't stand out it still more than satisfies. The coloring, per usual with a Dynamite book, looks vibrant at times but mostly keeping things muted, creating a decent mood for the piece. And the cover by one of the next big shots in comic art, Francesco Francavilla is up to his usual standards. It's a solid book, and one that comes recommended.
