Evil Sheila and giant-hulk Ash have regular Ash and his head in a compromising position after capturing him in the last issue, and it doesn't look good for the Michigan native. A quick Ash-type move and Sheila becomes a member of the “No-Clap Club” and giant Ash loses mobility. Buts it's not over. The Deadites still have the upper hand since it still night time. The upper hand is for another reason too, and yes there is a pun in there.

Evil Sheila evens up the score in a way, and the final and unavoidable battle between the two results in clanging metal, help from his horse, and a gratuitous splash page (there is more than one of those in this issue). The battle can't go on forever though, and it doesn't, just a few pages. The aftermath of said battle contains a surprise and also an ending that lets you know it isn't over. Ash isn't free of the Deadites, and he isn't returning to his own time for a while, if ever at all. And the mystery of “The Faceless Man” from last issue doesn't develop any further; if there is any further the writer is going to take it.

It's a fun book, pretty superficial in story and average in art, but entertaining for certain. Unless you hate anything and everything Evil Dead of course. It seems geared toward a younger audience and suffers for it in the eyes of an adult horror comic lover. There's little here that can be considered inappropriate for kids, aside from the violence end of things (it's really quite bloodless). Anyway, there's the right mix of action, monsters, and humor to keep the story from dragging or going anywhere dull. Goofy? Yeah. Dull? No. But you have to expect goofy from the subject matter and the character being chronicled, so come to the table with that in mind and you should enjoy your stay.
