For a fourth time, those perverts over at Impulse Pictures present a collection of 8mm hardcore loops, preserved digitally for posterity's sake and now available on DVD for your own personal enjoyment. Here's what to expect…
TAMMY AND THE DOCTOR: This one has subs! A woman calls her doctor, wants him to come over to take care of some issues. He shows up and she's decked out in black lingerie. He asks her how long she's been sick and takes off his jacket. He takes her temperature and she gets undressed. More medical play ensues and then she rolls over and he gives her an enema! UNTITLED: Our next loop sees a nerdy girl in glasses reading on a red carpet. A guy in a creepy plastic mask comes in and gropes her. LUST: Someone writes LUST on a napkin in black Sharpie and then we cut to a redhead and a blonde kissing on a leather couch. They rub up and do that lesbian thing for a bit, the redhead has really big curly hair. They hit the sixty-nine thing for a bit and scissor it too.
2 FROM COLUMN A: An Asian chick and a white chick are getting it on in a cheap looking hotel room. Another lesbian loop that hits all the right notes without really breaking any new ground aside from the interracial aspect. What's rad about this loop, however, is that the two ladies are Mai Lai and Erica Boyer, so that ought to make you stand up and take notice.
Video/Audio/Extras:
Each of the 8mm loops on this disc are presented in their original 1.33.1 fullframe aspect ratio and transferred from film. They haven't been fully restored so expect a fair bit of print damage and plenty of visible scratches but that doesn't really detract from the experience much. Colors are faded and black levels all over the place but if the elements are in rough shape, at least the disc is well authored and not plagued by compression artifacts or edge enhancement problems.
The audio is on par with the video, sort of. This stuff was shot without sound, so really we just the 'click' of a projector in terms of audio, there's really not much to write about here.
Extras? Nope. You get a menu and loop selection but that's it. Inside the case, however, you will discover a booklet of liner notes from Cinema Sewer's Robin Bougie that elaborate on the 8mm experience, the earliest known loop, and some of the more recognizable faces (and bodies) that appear in this collection of smut!
The Final Word:
42nd Street Forever: The Peepshow Collection Volume 4 is another fine compilation of XXX loops for them dirty, filthy early days of pre-gloss smut. A few famous faces stand out here and it's always neat to see stuff like that appear on discs like this. If you're a loop fan, definitely step right up, you'll enjoy this.
