    The Movie:

It shouldn't surprise anyone to learn that The Claire Sinclair Show is a show hosted by Claire Sinclair. For those not in the know, it was produced by the Erotic Channel and it features the “Playboy's Playmate of the Year, Bettie Page clothing spokes model, and the Star of the Las Vegas show PIN UP.” Claire's a bit of a knock out, but she's got more going on than just good looks.

In the first of the two episodes featured here, entitled Clair on Clair, Ms. Sinclair interviews herself for twenty-three minutes. Now this is no easy task and when you consider that the only person to ever really pull this off prior was Rowdy Roddy Piper, it might make sense if you had some reservations about how this might work, but give it a chance. As Claire goes about all of this, her sense of humor comes through as she discusses her roots, growing up in rural California, how she got into modelling, her work with the world's most famous men's magazine and her Vegas show.

The second episode is entitled Bunny Yeager's Last Sitting and it spends twenty-five minutes with the famous cheesecake photographer so often associated with Bettie Page. It's part interview with Yeager and part document of the shoot she did with Claire - which would sadly be her last, as Yeager passed away in the first half of 2014 after a long and storied career behind the camera. This is fun to watch and it's interesting to see not only how Yeager works her camera and chats up her subject but how the experienced model works it for her and reacts.

This is fairly light material, but nevertheless pretty enjoyable stuff. If you've got an interest in cheesecake modelling, pin-up girls and/or the sexier side of retro/rockabilly fashion and fetish you'll definitely get something out of this. Claire is quite personable in addition to being plenty easy on the eyes and that makes this more than just some time spent with a good looking woman preening and posing. You actually do glean some insight into what it's like to walk in her shoes a bit and you get the chance to see her at work first hand, flubs and bloopers left intact to make for a more genuine experience.

    Video/Audio/Extras:

Cult Epics presents the two episodes in 1.33.1 fullframe. The shot on video production looks fine. Detail is typically decent enough and although there are some spots where bright lights blow out the contrast, these are few and far between. Obviously as this was shot on video there are no issues with any print damage to discuss and the disc is free of any compression artifacts.

The Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo sound mix on the disc is also fine. There are a couple of spots in the Yeager episode where the acoustics in the room where the material was shot bounce around a bit but aside from that the mix sounds good. No alternate language options or subtitles are provided.

The best of the extras on the disc are the seven minutes of Original Super 8 films with Bunny and Claire that were shot by Nico B. This stuff is a lot of fun to watch and the material really mixes nicely with the Super 8 aesthetic to create a completely believable retro feel.

Also worth watching are Claire's introductions done for The Erotica Channel's showing of Bettie Page: Bondage Queen and VIVA. These run two and three minutes apiece. Last but not least we get some very welcome uncensored HD nude photo shoot footage with Claire and Bunny, menus and chapter selection.

    The Final Word:

A fun mix of personality piece and cheesecake/pin-up modelling portfolio, The Claire Sinclair show isn't particularly deep but it's definitely bound to please anyone in the lovely Ms. Sinclair's fanbase or those with an interest in the subject matter.
