The conclusion of this 2 parter sees writer Gaunt inching a little closer to the truth of his bizarre situation. Aside from a couple of cell phone calls to his increasingly pissed off girlfriend back in Real Current World, Gaunt is spending all of his time in the past of his childhood in this chapter.

The themes that started in part one are fleshed out here with pretty satisfying results. This is a classic "do-over" story with a character getting a chance to fix things he screwed up in the first place. Interestingly, the story here first started out with a "Walking Distance" (a high water mark episode from The Twilight Zone TV show's first season) vibe but actually ends up flipping that one's message right on its head. The characters are well written. Writer Rahner crafts some good biting dialog for both Gaunt the elder and Gaunt the tormented teenager. The mean grandfather and boozed up mom have the depressing ring of authenticity too.

Art, coloring and lettering remain at the same high standard as part one, with artist Menna showing a flair for craggy faces and skewed framing. There's always something a little bit "off" in the frames and that's exactly the way it should be. This is the Twilight Zone after all. The 22 pages fly by and this story manages to be both entertaining and thought provoking. Well done Dynamite team.

Another strong entry in the Twilight Zone comics canon and once again highly recommended.
