    The Movie:

Two more mind meltingly goofy XXX oddities from the mind of Carlos Tobalina all spiffy looking and ready for your eyeballs!

    Super Sex:

The first feature takes place in the office of Dr. Rosenberg (Sasha Gabor) where one of his patients, a poofy haired brunette, explains that she had a dream where a blonde guy came and boned her while she was in the shower. Cue the flashback/dream sequence three way and then cut back to the office. Why? Because Rosenberg and his frumpy secretary are taking a much needed vacation.

All is not lost for his patients, however, because Dr. Stein (Jeremy Hapner) and his busty, bra-less secretary () are on hand to make sure that everyone is well taken care of in his absence. So with that setup out of the way, we are then made privy to the intimate confessions of a small barrage of patients. First up is a woman (Beverly Doom… best porn name ever?) that tells him of the time that she dreamt she was molested by her mother and father… though they were both twenty years younger than they are right now. Then another woman (Vanessa D'Oro) has a dream that she's able to do some sort of astral projection thing and enter the body of her friend (Nina Hartley) to get a chance at bedding her husband (played by a guy credited as Francois and who sports a funny butterfly tattoo on his left ass cheek!).

Later on, D'Oro shows up at the office, gets it on with the secretary, and then Stein joins in. Of course, Rosenberg shows up shortly after and then gets it on with everyone. This is followed by a scene where Melissa Melendez shows up out of nowhere and more sex happens.

This one has some cute ladies in it and the scene with D'Oro and Hartley definitely earns the film some points for trying something different and unique, but this one is a bit dull. Sasha Gabor is kind of funny but he's not in the movie enough to really carry it while the sex scenes aren't particularly passionate or exciting. The music is kind of cool and the whole thing is nicely lit and reasonably well shot but it's a fairly forgettable experience overall.

    Pulsating Flesh:

Up next is the sordid tale of a man named Peter Longfellow (Ray Hardin). Peter is the guest on a talk show hosted by Joanie Carson (Tamara Longley) that takes place in a front of a live audience (made up of what look like stock photos shot inside a church in the 1950s - why are these people sitting in wooden pews?) where he tells everyone tuning in at home about his exploits. According to Joanie, Peter makes his living in a most unusual way - he sells his virility.

And tuning in at home are two lesbians - Tess Ferre and Tami Lee Curtis - who are hanging out on a water bed that has rainbow colored striped sheets on it. They get in the mood as they hear about Longfellows exploits and bust out some heavy artillery when the mood hits. As to his exploits, his first story involves being paid to impregnate the wife (Renee Summers) of a man (Jay Sterling), which he does quite gleefully while the man titty-boffs his assistant. From there we learn how his lady friend (Tess Ferre) wanted him to come home with her to play around with a pair of high school girls (Bunny Bleu and Kathlyn Moore). He obliges her while she watches, only to then get involved with the leering milkman hanging out near the window (Harry Reems). Of course, before it's all over, Ms. Carson herself will get in on the action with Peter, and those lesbians just might change their tune too!

This is a goofy but light and well-paced little sex romp in which the participants all seem to be having a good time here. Some of the comedy bits work better than others but if you're expecting consistency in a Tobalina movie you should have your head checked. One of the weirdest aspects of the movie is that anytime someone blows a load, which happens pretty frequently, there are laser style PEW PEW PEW sound effects used.

There's also enough variety in terms of the on screen couplings to keep this fun. We get solo action, group scenes, girl on girl stuff and straight stuff too, as well as some voyeurism, some toy play, and a whole lot of wonderfully trashy mid-eighties lingerie and teased hair. The locations aren't all that interesting but they work, and just try not to crack up anytime that the movie cuts to the supposed studio audience!

    Video/Audio/Extras:

Both features look great in 1.78.1 anamorphic widescreen transferred in 2k from their respective 35mm negatives. The elements used were in excellent condition and while there is a scratch or two here and there, for the most part the transfers are as clean and as colorful as you could hope for. Expect some grain, but you'd be silly not to and it's never particularly distracting. These are solid transfers through and through, no serious print damage to complain about, sharp detail, very film like but still crisp and clean. Expect some grain, but you'd be silly not to. At this point in time anyone who has been following these releases knows to expect excellent quality - this release continues that trend.

Both movies get the Dolby Digital Mono treatment, in English with no alternate language options or subtitles provided. Both films sound fine. Dialogue remains clear and crisp and the scores sound good. Levels are properly balanced for both features though some might note some minor hiss in a few spots.

The only extras on the disc are trailers for each feature, static menus and chapter selection.

    The Final Word:

At this point in the game, you probably know what to expect from a Tobalina double feature but it's fun to see some of his later stuff represented in tip-top shape. Super Sex isn't super exciting even if it does have a couple of moments but Pulsating Flesh is weird enough to work and worth a watch for that reason.
