    CULVER CITY, CALIF. (January 10, 2011) - S.W.A.T.'s exciting action-packed follow up, S.W.A.T.: Firefight debuts on Blu-Ray™ and DVD March 1st from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Robert Patrick (Terminator 2, The Men Who Stare at Goats) stars as an insidious and unstoppable villain, determined to exact his revenge on the new, hot-shot instructor of Detroit's most elite crime fighting team. Gabriel Macht (The Spirit, Behind Enemy Lines), Carly Pope (The Glass House, Disturbing Behavior), Giancarlo Esposito (Rabbit Hole, TV's “Breaking Bad”) and Kristanna Loken (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines) join the cast of this blazing action thriller. Bonus features include the behind-the-scenes featurette “Sharp Shooting: On the Set,” which demonstrates the extensive SWAT training the actors endured for the film. Stage 6 Films' and RCR Media Group's S.W.A.T.: Firefight will be available on Blu-Ray™ for $30.95 SRP and on DVD for $24.96 SRP.

    An expert in anti-terrorism tactics, hotshot LAPD officer Paul Cutler (Gabriel Macht) is ordered to Detroit to train its S.W.A.T. team in the latest hostage rescue techniques. But everything changes when their botched response to a domestic dispute ends with a hostage down and a government assassin (Robert Patrick) now obsessed with terminating Cutler as well as his entire S.W.A.T. team.

    Directed by Benny Boom (Next Day Air), S.W.A.T.: Firefight features a screenplay by Reed Steiner based on a story by Reed Steiner, Randy Walker, Michael Albanese and Ed Arneson. Amanda Lewis and Neal H. Moritz produced, with Rui Costa Reis, Eliad Josephson and Scott Putman acting as executive producers.
