RED FANG: Unveil Album Details, Preview Tracks Posted

Portland, OR's RED FANG has unveiled the title of their long-awaited full-length as Murder The Mountains. Murder The Mountains will see its North American release on April 12th (April 18th internationally) and is available for pre-order at this location along with a preview of the album artwork. Murder The Mountains, the follow-up to the band's critically-acclaimed self-titled full-length, was recorded with producer Chris Funk (THE DECEMBERISTS) and mixed by Vance Powell (THE RACONTEURS).

RED FANG has recently debuted two preview tracks taken from Murder The Mountains, “Number Thirteen” and “Wires“. “Number Thirteen” can be heard via the band's Facebook and MySpace pages as well as downloaded as part of the free Relapse Records label sampler (here). “Wires“ is also streaming now via the RED FANG MySpace.

RED FANG has confirmed two mid-February shows for Olympia and Seattle with additional U.S. dates to be announced soon. The band has also been confirmed for Hellfest 2011, the annual hard rock and metal fest held in Clisson, France in June. A full listing of RED FANG tour will be posted shortly.

RED FANG's much-talked-about video for “Prehistoric Dog” (taken from the band's self-titled album) will be presented as part of Oregon Music News' 90 minute “Portland Music Videos” showing at the Reel Music Festival this Sunday at Mississippi Studios. Additional information can be found here.

    RED FANG Tour Dates:

Feb 19 Seattle, WA The Sunset

“If kick ass rock were ever distilled into beverage form it should be called Red Fang.” - Seattle Rock Guy

“Former members of Party Time, Bad Wizard, and the Last of the Juanitas have unleashed some of the most potent hard rock I've heard since Big Business. Prepare to have your face melted off.” - Seattle Stranger

“Mounted atop the triumphant braids of guitars and the stampeding low end is some of the best metal riding today.” - Orlando Weekly

“In place of symmetry and precision, Red Fang smears roughhewn, ragged riffs that place the band much more in the camp of Big Business (or even The Sword minus the hobbit shtick). Out behind a new five-song tour EP, the band sports members from all over the place, including Last of the Juanitas, Facedowninshit, and even the legendary San Diego noise collective Trumans Water.” - The Onion

"The group deals in heavy, low-end sludge, rollicking with all the vintage fuzz of Black Sabbath and burly thunder of fellow Pacific Northwesterners The Melvins. And yet there's an accessible, even catchy element to their mighty tunes similar to the Thunder-pop style of Torche. Suffice it to say that Red Fang provide a musical experience that rocks, plain and simple." - Treble
