Fair enough, as long as you're happy!

Arrow's Fran Simeoni confirmed that they will be releasing this on UHD.

Really can't be bothered to upgrade these Argento titles again to UHD. Maybe in a few years time when there are standard editions in a sale.
I'm bitter, I'm twisted, James Joyce is fucking my sister.

It is funny, thinking about what I'll upgrade to UHD and I'm pretty sure it will be limited to the films of my absolute favorite directors and Argento is definitely one of my favorites, but I am in no hurry to buy these releases. I don't know if I'm just burned out on my favorites (I have not got around to watching Arrow's limited edition Blu-ray of Deep Red, Bird with the Crystal Plumage or Cat o'Nine Tails and I bought them right away) or if I'm just suffering from upgrade fatigue.

I think I'm suffering from both. Strangely enough I'm upgrading Demons because my old Arrow blu is too bright, but I'm okay with the proper Argentos for now. They don't quite have the magic for me that they used to.

From Dario Argento, maestro of the macabre and the man behind some of the greatest excursions in Italian horror (Suspiria, The Bird with the Crystal Plumage), comes Deep Red – the ultimate giallo movie.

One night, musician Marcus Daly (David Hemmings, Blow Up), looking up from the street below, witnesses the brutal axe murder of a woman in her apartment. Racing to the scene, Marcus just manages to miss the perpetrator… or does he? As he takes on the role of amateur sleuth, Marcus finds himself ensnared in a bizarre web of murder and mystery where nothing is what it seems…

Aided by a throbbing score from regular Argento collaborators Goblin, Deep Red (aka Profondo Rosso and The Hatchet Murders) is a hallucinatory fever dream of a giallo punctuated by some of the most astonishing set-pieces the sub-genre has to offer.

So they've upped the price to £35, Bird and Cat were £30. Since Arrow were acquired by The Hut group, they've been jacking up the new release prices. They should call them The Hutt group, fucking gangsters. I guess people will pay that, but seeing as they will release a standard edition and Arrow have regular sales, I'll wait until I can get the Argentos for under £20.
