Wow. Tommy Chong is indeed actually in it.

Cheech and Chong are appearing out here pretty soon. Maybe Tommy will come like that Shaman dude.

A brief statement about ‘Color Out of Space’:

I would like to thank the hundreds of you who have sent me best wishes, assumed I am scoring the film or have inquired about it.

Unfortunately I am not composing the music for this movie.

I’m afraid I don’t have any answers or explanations I can give you and suggest you direct any further questions to the film’s producers at SpectreVision.

I will say that I am a little surprised that I was not approached, especially as Richard and I have collaborated successfully so often in the past and had pitched the idea together at Fantasia International Film Festival in 2013.

However, as always, I wish my good friend Richard Stanley the very best of luck and hope we may continue our partnership at some point in the future, when he has more creative control...
Surprising and unfortunate as Stanley and Boswell have always made one hell of a tag-team.

It definitely is unfortunate. My guess is the company simply had their own composer in mind and went with whoever's credited. Right now I'm just happy Stanley finally got that third movie made.

That's... pretty damning. Simon Boswell is essentially saying that Stanley's artistic freedom on this film was compromised by producer interference.

Curiously I checked to see who the composer is, but that's not listed (yet) on IMDB. The only music credit listed at the moment is
    Music Department
    Dan Wilcox ... music supervisor
