I haven't seen the entire film in a long time either - caught bits and pieces on tv on occasion. I saw this in the theater when it opened. Much as I wish they had covered more of what's in the book, it probably would have been impossible to do so without a 4 hour runtime. I still like this as it is, and it has a great cast.
