ZOMBIE FLESH EATERS 2: (Stars: Deran Sarafian, Beatrice Ring, Ottaviano Dell'Acqua, Directed by Lucio Fulci)

The late, great Lucio Fulci (with a little uncredited help from ZOMBIE CREEPING FLESH helmer Bruno Mattei) returned to his living dead roots with ZOMBI 3 – the long awaited sequel to ZOMBIE FLESH EATERS (AKA ZOMBI 2). However, just as ZOMBI 2 was inspired by DAWN OF THE DEAD, with ZOMBI 3 Fulci spins his own terrific take on another Hollywood hit: RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD. The end result is a fast-paced, plasma-packed popcorn romp in which contagious fumes consequent in an invasion of flesh-feasting ghouls. A classic carnage-ridden splatter caper in its own right, ZOMBI 3 is ripe for reappraisal and arrives on BluRay in a worldwide HD debut that looks finger-licking fabulous! For Fulci fans it’s a no-brainer – this gory, gut-tearing gem is an essential addition to your collection.

Pre-ordered this with sleeve a few months back. Poor old Zombi 3 doesn't get any love, but I think its a lot of fun.

‘Zombi 3’ is so bad yet a passably entertaining guilty pleasure.

Watched the blu tonight, and was fairly happy with how this looked. It's 1980's and it was obviously filmed with that soft focus look, so was never going to look amazing, but its most definatey a significant upgrade over the dvd. Recommended.

Got around to watching this last night and basically agree. It isn't a perfect transfer but yes, it is a nice upgrade from the old DVD release and the soft look is just going to be inherent in the film's appearance I think. It's a ridiculous film, very entertaining and crazy in its pacing. The scene where whatshername falls into the water and dude pulls her out only to find her legs are gone and that she's a zombie now cracks me up and of course the finale with the pregnant lady is bonkers.

This movie is fucking stupid, but I'm happy with it.

    Reissue coming soon.

In 1979 director Lucio Fulci created a video nasty legend with his masterpiece ZOMBIE FLESH EATERS. A sequel was born in 1988, for which Fulci returned, but the best was yet to come with 1989's outrageously gory and ghastly ZOMBIE FLESH EATERS 3! Directed by Claudio Fragasso, the man behind the notorious TROLL 2 and the producer of the infamous and formerly banned splatter opus ZOMBIE CREEPING FLESH, the innards and excitement comes thick and fast in this first class follow-up which returns its witless characters to the Caribbean and a voodoo legend that unleashes hordes of shambling corpses seeking to chow down on anyone stupid enough to be trespassing on hallowed ground! Years since it scandalised audiences, the third in the ZOMBIE FLESH EATERS franchise is back to bite a way into your Blu Ray collection!
