That's awesome. I don't recall the music specifically, but I love the movie so I'd love to get this one eventually.

Not strictly horror as everyone knows its a giallo, but picked up the awesome Bloodstained Shadow soundtrack from Death Waltz, and lovely it is too

I'm most definitely hoping to buy the Dracula ad72 release. I seriously hope the scalpers don't get their hands on it. I'm a bit paranoid considering it's only 1000 units and I'm at work when it goes on sale. The last few Death Waltz limited releases got snapped up and where on ebay in minutes.

I like Dracula A.D. 1972 quite a bit but will have to give the sample a listen to see if the music is anything I'd listen to without the film. The LP does have some mighty nice artwork! Generally, I do not care for the new artwork of a lot of the D.W. releases.

Not really horror but I scooped this on the weekend on double LP.

Black Christmas is now out on Waxwork. I just pre-ordered it from Two Headed Dog (he replied in an email that their copies are in transit & shipping will begin this week. Hit them up as they have it for $3 cheaper than the label & offer free shipping). Now, if we can please get a Extra special, definitive blu-ray release!

Man, this is one creepy listening experience:

Black Christmas is an ABSOLUTE MUST-OWN! Creepy as hell & there are sounds on the record you'll, most likely, never hear in the movie. I think this may be one of the very best soundtrack LPs released so far (along with Last House on Dead End Street). According to the liner notes, the composer scrambled together the original master tapes to assemble for the record so it's technically not the movie soundtrack. He also admits that he didn't really know what he was doing other than copying John Cage.

It's one hell of a release, that's for sure! Love it.

10 Cloverfield Lane (Music from the Motion Picture)
    Music by Bear McCreary
    SNS4020
    RETAIL PRICE: $15.98

Shadows and Sparks presents composer Bear McCreary’s score for 10 Cloverfield Lane -- a masterful assemblage of elements including a 90-piece orchestra, a 45-piece string ensemble, a grouping of 30 celli and 8 bass, and a string quartet. These traditional instruments are combined with two unusual feature instruments, the Yayli tanbur and the Blaster Beam, an experimental instrument built and played by Craig Huxley.

“Bear has written an incredible score for [director] Dan Trachtenberg's 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE,” said producer J.J. Abrams. “It is tense, emotional music that gives the film scope and heart, augments the surprise and horror. It’s an homage to Herrmann, but wholly original at the same time. I'm deeply grateful to Bear for his contribution to this movie.”

A limited amount of 360 units will be signed by composer Bear McCreary and sold exclusively through the La-La Land Records website – www.lalalandrecords.com

Regular, unsigned editions can be purchased through Amazon
Both of these fantastic titles go on sale at 12 pm pst on May 3, 2016 at www.lalalandrecords.com
