Star Trek: Discovery will not be shown on broadcast TV, it'll be on CBS' streaming platform.

ENTERPRISE: best chugged. DO NOT SIP: you are not doing this for the taste. Season 3 is for shotgunning, but season 4 stoops to vampire nazis so no booze-metaphor for it. A+ for the worst series finale ever.

That sounds like a sucky thing to do. The USs streaming situation is a bit hard to get your head around from this side of the world. We really only have two paid services but it seems like over there on top of Amazon, Netlix etc all the networks are trying to have their own pay streaming services as well? That sounds messy as fuck. How are you supposed to watch everything? Though I guess if you're desperate to watch Star Trek $6 a month is not the greatest hardship and really just the cost of a new release VHS back in the day... I used to spend a lot more than that on Dr Who and Blakes 7. But still it rubs me the wrong way even if I can't really justify why. I suppose it just takes a while to get ones head around the new ways...

Is Star Trek Discovery kaput? I heard it was. Also how long do you think they spent discussing whether they could put it out with a title that everyone is going to shorten to STD? I was also just reading an article that said that Patrick Stewart is returning for another go in his own new series:

I might actually watch that. I haven't really paid much attention to anything after TNG.
