"Latest update on the pending releases Larraz double feature and Jess Francos Vol. 2. We reviewed the disc of the Larraz for the movies, subtitles but missed the other assets that were to be on the final stamped version. Due do some corrupted files [which we had to resend to the authoring people] they have not finalized the stamped versions and it looks like another couple of weeks. Now we have been told that the final orders will be processed by November 15th and sent out to fulfilment. We know that you folks that have preordered the release have been more than patient with us and if you feel that you can not wait any longer for the final product we will understand if you want to cancel your order and get a refund. Those of you are willing to wait just a little bit longer with us on this we will make it up to you on our next releases.Due to the devil of problems on the Larraz, we are also delayed on the Franco Vol. 2. The films have been scanned and audio has been worked on, assets are all in with the exception of a couple of subtitle languages [which are being sent out for final proofing this week] so it is projected to follow the Larraz very shortly.

Our next Giallo / Horror flick release will be 95% complete before we even launch the presales as we do not want to be under the gun so to speak on delays because of authoring issues etc.

We apologize to you who have supported us during the year of our first BR releases, it has been a roller coaster ride for Dorado working through the various glitches we have experienced with the various releases. It will get better, you can only earn if you learn....."

"Should be giving final update as to the shipping status of the Larraz release just as soon as the boxes arrive in our warehouse and fulfillment centers. I personally am really looking forward to getting this release out the door, it has been the production from "H" with all the difficulties we had to go through on getting it all assembled and ready, for those of you who followed through and helped us out, and especially you who have at the last hour, stepped up to replace others who otherwise were unable too for various reasons...much gratitude! Now, if we can just get everyone here in the offices back to work, [we have all been fighting the dreadful flu] it will be on to the next releases final push, Jess Franco Vol. 2 and the Euro western whereby we can start in on the next 4 BR releases, Jess Franco Vol 3 , Knife of Ice , Our first Eurospy and Eurocrime Vol. 2!!
Will be posting in a couple of days stay tuned!"

So hopefully that means the friggin' Laraz and Franco discs are shipping soon...

"Western pre sale is now officially over, thank you to all the presale supporters for this release.

Addressing a couple of comments from our last post, we want to let it be known that we understand how many feel regarding support of another presale, before existing orders that are now several months delayed were filled.

Perfectly reasonable from any standpoint to feel this way. If we had known how the last releases of 2017 from Dorado would have gone sour due to the multitude of difficulties we were plagued with, we would not even have begun another project until all the issues had been fully resolved.

Collectively you the presale buyers have been very patient with us, and we do thank you. We will be getting these out sooner than later, everything has had to be reprinted, and replicated etc..

Larraz first, Franco second and the Western 3rd, then and only then will we consider another release to put on the market. We do take this issue very seriously as it not only sends a bad message to you our supporters, it costs our company, at least in this case of the Larraz and Franco release, twice the amount to get the products out ... virtually erasing any gains from the releases and our efforts.

So, those who have expressed your disappointment again we understand, and only can apologize again and again for the problems we experienced to lead us to this point.

We also thank all of you defenders here on FB. and your willingness to overlook all of our setbacks, despite the obvious disappointment on the timeline, for what it is worth our disappointment is as great if not greater than the collective supporters we have for Dorado Films..... know that it bothers us at all levels in the company to have any release problems ..and 2017 was a real test of things going wrong on these two releases.

We do see the end in sight... so again sorry and all our gratitude!

    Dorado Films staff

PS. The Explosive Eurocrime limited edition extras are all but gone from the warehouse now, we have less than 20 left!"

Not sure how endless delays end up costing twice as much money, but it would be nice to see Dorado get their shit together.

Didn't they get screwed over by their original replicators, so they had to find someone else to do the job, hence paying for it twice.

There was playback issues with the first printing they did so they had to replicate all the discs again, Really bad luck.

I spoke with Enid from Dorado last night. They got royally screwed by the replicator for this one. For one thing, instead of pressed discs, the company created burned BD-RS! Dorado wisely sent them back, but unfortunately have not been able to get a refund. So basically they have to start over with a new replicator. Hopefully it will be done sometime next month. Although who knows, at this rate?
