Thread: Batman comics

I'm going to be in the minority here with some of these picks since some of the best (like the Joker stand alone) have been mentioned.

BATMAN UNDER THE HOOD-The ending leaves everything up in the air but I like this one
    BATMAN WAR GAMES
BATMAN TALES OF THE MULTIVERSE-all three Batman as a vampire graphic novels collected
BATMAN BY ALAN BRENNERT-I have all of these stories I think but he wrote some damned fine Batman stories
The current BATMAN and DETECTIVE to me are better than the New 52 Snyder run.

If you want an unusual Two Face Story then the recent ALL STAR BATMAN 1-5 may be for you.

I really liked this book too.

I tried reading Hush and just couldn't get into it. The writing was kind of bad.

This set looks pretty sexy. I don't read comics but this keeps getting flogged with online ads and I'm almost tempted just for something different. I'm told though that they lure you in by not giving details up front and then the series winds up running for a couple hundred issues at $30 odd dollars a pop. Which would rack up.

It reads like something a bored kid with Adhd wrote during 7th grade study hall. Got banned from a comic forum years ago for posting about how I didn't like hush. Got told "Stop trolling! EVERYONE LIKES HUSH!"

I am still not sure what is worse Loeb's bad writing or Jim Lee craptastic art.

No idea if anyone else is reading it,but the new story in the first 2 issues of Batman Giant was really good. Issue 3 starts a new story by BMB.

I think people, er, nerds, just really like the character Hush. It is a cool look and idea for a character but holy jebus the writing was dog shit. The art was okay.

Jim Lee is to Batman’s ears what Rob Liefield is to feet.
