“…almost an all-woman cast, and featuring a show-stopping nude scene with women of all shapes and ages. Maybe a Cannes ’18 debut but who knows? I forget exactly how long Dario Argento’s original was, but Luca’s version is two hours, 50 minutes.”

So now it's not a remake.

“It’s inspired by the same story, but it goes in different directions, it explores other reasons,” Guadagino told Allocine. “Its semantics, of course, but I think people really have to understand that this is not a remake, because the word ‘remake’ gives the impression that we want to erase the original, and the opposite is what we tried to do.”

Not sure whether this is really the right place, but at the Barbican last night Alan Jones announced Amazon will be producing a twelve-part series, Suspiria Profundis, with Dario slated to direct at least one episode.

    It's not a remake, it's an homage.

So.... the intensity of the Suspiria remake sent Dakota Fanning to therapy?
