Twin Peaks 2017 Discussion Thread (spoilers)

Ok, starting a new thread for the 2017 run to discuss the show - spoilers for current episodes will probably appear, hence the warning in the title.

I'm just happy to have anything Lynch available, and this delivered.

    1. Who is the latte girl? I love her.
    2. How is Matthew Lillard in twin Peaks and not annoying???
    3. I wondered if Lynch was going twin peaks show or FWWM. Looks like he's going both.
    4. Despite a number of actors from other Lynch films appearing, I think it would be cool if they were characters from his films....tie in everything he's done to one universe and say goodbye.

    Still relevant:

I'm almost an outsider looking in because while I'm a huge fan of Lynch I could never get into Twin Peaks. I did see the pilot and I know about Bob. Also this was a pretty good primer:

That said. I assume another entity escaped while the guy watching the cage and the latte girl were fucking. I think the show made it pretty clear it wasn't Cooper who slaughtered them. Looking forward to where this all goes.

    re: Episode 3

I kinda feel like Twin Peaks and Eraserhead are now connected.

Yeah I could see that. They could be set in the same universe. Lynch said Lost Highway takes place in the same universe as Twin Peaks.

I also found the "re-casting" of the The Man From Another Place to be hilarious.

That almost felt like a super super burn.

The tree looked just like one of Lynch's unique pieces of furniture.

Also: RIP the Log Lady. I didn't realize the actress died two years ago.

Except it introduces itself as 'the arm' doesn't it? While the one-armed man is standing by Cooper?

Didn't realize last night episodes 3 and 4 are available on demand. So I guess we're watching those tonight.

No fucking clue what's going on yet, but I'm in. Cooper's evil doppleganger is great. Didn't realize Jennifer Jason Leigh was the girl he said was 'nice and wet' until the end credits rolled.

Also is the entity that escaped from the glass chamber Bob?
