    R.I.P. DENISE VANITY MATTHEWS

Denise Matthews a.k.a. Vanity the singer / actress died on Monday Feburary 15 , 2016 at age 57. She starred in many cult films and tv shows such as Action Jackson, The Last Dragon, Memories of Murder,Neon City, South beach, Deadly Illusion, and the favorite Never Too Young Too Die. also guest on such tv shows as Highlander, Friday the 13th the series, T and T, Counterstrike, and Miami vice. Action Jackson and Last Dragon are enough greatness on their own...
Heard Vanity became a born again preacher over her last few years...certainly a few huge career changes in her life...all the way from Prince to Preacher!!

I got a chance to work fairly closely with Vanity on NEVER TOO YOUNG TO DIE. She was a complicated woman, but had a real sweetness and tenderness underneath. I look back fondly to those weeks back in 1985.

    What a terrible loss :'(

    Sexiest woman EVER!

I was so pissed back in the 80's when I found out she wasn't going to be in Purple Rain!

I loved her music (I still have my Vanity 6 album from 1982 and the Drive Me Wild remix extended version record) as well as her movies. I have Terror Train, The Last Dragon, Action Jackson, and 52 Pick-Up all on Blu-ray. I rented Tanya's Island awhile back from Amazon Video but it looked awful... kind of like a VHS tape that had been rented out a couple of million times. I assumed the DVD was just as bad so I never bought it.

I don't remember ever seeing Never Too Young to Die but I would love to see it now! Someone needs to restore it and Tanya's Island and give them proper releases!
