Saw the trailer for it before It, thought it might have potential. At least it appears to try to bring something new to the genre?

It sure does! I'm so tired of all the cookie cutter productions put out by today's movie makers. Most every movie I see is SO predictable it is boring.

Happy Death Day shows imagination instead of the same-old same-old!

I watched H.D.D. on Thanksgiving night, I think? Can't say I remember much from it. The lead actress was likeable but I can't imagine sitting through it again or caring about a sequel.

Edit - I wanted to look up the credits to find the lead's name - it's Jessica Rothe - and I was also reminded that Scott Lobdell wrote the first one. That would ordinarily be cool (comics writer), but he seems like a creep.

I really liked the first one, but the second one was quite poor. Really don't see a point in a third one.
