Updated press release from Severin re: Zulu Dawn:

3/12 Blu Ray/DVD Combo Release Of All-Star Epic

    ZULU DAWN From Severin Films

One Of The Most Intense Battle Classics Of Our Time, Now Re-mastered In HD!

LOS ANGELES, CA, February 25th, 2013 - Severin Films have announced the March 12th Blu-ray + DVD combo release of the ZULU DAWN, the epic 70s prequel to the classic ZULU, fully restored in hi-definition and packed with exclusive new Bonus Features.

Burt Lancaster, Peter O'Toole, Simon Ward, Bob Hoskins and Sir John Mills lead an all-star cast in the shocking true story of The Battle of Isandlwana: In January 1879, arrogant officials of the British colony of Natal, Africa issued a list of unauthorized ultimatums to the Zulu Nation. When the Zulu King refused their demands, the Empire declared war. And in a series of grave tactical blunders, a garrison of 1,500 British soldiers faced an army of 25,000 enraged Zulu warriors in what would become the most horrifying disaster in British military history. Nigel Davenport (CHARIOTS OF FIRE), Denholm Elliott (RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK), Phil Daniels (QUADROPHENIA) and 13,000 actual Zulus co-star in this acclaimed prequel to ZULU, fully restored to its correct aspect ratio, and re-mastered in stunning HD for the first time ever in America. Extras include new featurettes with Zulu War expert Ian knight, the film's historical advisor Midge Carter, a visit to the actual locations of the battle of Isandlwana hosted by Knight, and a selection of rare out-takes.

Severin Films was formed in 2006 with offices in Los Angeles and London. Their previous releases include the all-star War classic THE WILD GEESE, Walerian Borowczyk's IMMORAL WOMEN and THE ART OF LOVE, the unrated Director's Cut of Just Jaeckin's GWENDOLINE, Richard Stanley's restored HARDWARE, Enzo Castellari's original action classic INGLORIOUS BASTARDS, Oscar®-nominee Patrice Leconte's THE HAIRDRESSER'S HUSBAND, the midnight movie sensation BIRDEMIC - SHOCK & TERROR, Eugenio Martin's restored HORROR EXPRESS, and Alejandro Jodorowsky's internationally acclaimed SANTA SANGRE.

I don't own as many Severin titles as I'd like (Explaining to your wife the cinematic significant of Felicity, Laure and Emanuelle White Slave Trade never sounds as convincing as it does on message boards) but I have to say I love my Blus of Hardware and Shopping.

One movie that falls in that realm is Stephen Norrington's Death Machine. There's a solid B sci-fi action flick that I would kill to see in it's original aspect ratio! Another Sci-fi Brit flick from the 90s that fits into their milieu.

Very true For a real challenge, try explaining the cinematic importance of Impulse Pictures' Nikkatsu roman porno collection. 'What's in the parcel?' 'Oh, it's just my copy of SEX HUNTER: WET TARGET/I LOVE IT FROM BEHIND/FEMALE TEACHER: DIRTY AFTERNOON [delete as appropriate]' is always an interesting start to a conversation

    Seconded!

Anyone having trouble with the DVD in the House Of Seven Corpses Combo Pack, there's a replacement program. Details here.

While the Blu-ray in the HOUSE OF SEVEN CORPSES combo pack is fine, it’s come to our attention that the DVD has only a DTS 1.0 option for the feature audio which means that the audio on the feature will play if you have a built-in DTS decoder or your player is hooked up to a DTS receiver but if you don’t, it won’t. For those of you who have purchased the disc and are in need of a replacement please send your address and the DVD (disc only) to the address below and we will replace with a DVD with Dolby Digital Mono audio. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I haven't seen HOUSE OF SEVEN CORPSES since it played on 42nd street. I remember thinking it was a yawn. ZULU DAWN is one good-looking film. Whatever happened to Simon Ward? his career just petered out ...
