Thread: Bob's Burgers

    Bob's Burgers

It's my fave new show on right now (but I was also a fan of Home Movies and Dr. Katz as well). But last night's new episode featured the dad and son bonding over spaghetti westerns, one called "Banjo." The theme song plays over the credits at the end and is a nice direct riff on the Django theme song.

Here's a link to the intro of the boxset, "all 12 DVD's" and so forth. Am trying to find the audio of the song at the end to link to as well.

(The rest of the episode incorporated several "showdown" moments as well.)
It's not going to suck itself...

That show kills me, I really dig it too. We watched it last night and appreciated the Django references too. It was pretty clever how they worked the whole Banjo theme into the episode.

It's nice to see something different from what's become cliched Seth McFarlane animation (as much as I love it). The daughter in the bunny hat is a riot.

I like to pretend Bob is my Uncle Bob. And his kids (my cousins) are two girls and a boy so it works out perfectly. Nobody in the show is anything like any of them but it's still fun to pretend.

Your uncle does like hamburgers, so it's not so far off the mark.

They reran this last night and it's still funny.

Dear FOX - don't be stupid and not renew this show. Be smart and renew it.

    Thanks,
    Ian

According to a reviewer on Amazon the show has been renewed. Not sure that's a reliable source but I can certainly hope he knows what he's talking about.

I think they had a panel at the Comic Con last month, so it would stand to resaon that if Fox is sprining for the cost of a panel that the show is coming back.

I hope it does, I think it was the best new show of 2010.

Yep, I look forward to it on Sundays more than any of the other FOX shows. It's just nice to see something different.

OK, so I guess it was renewed back in April, we just didn't hear about it.
