Yeah, and the Arrow release ported those over.

I just watched the BLOW OUT blu and it looks spectacular; one of the best restorations I've seen. I was very pleased to see that it has MURDER A LA MOD as an extra (I've never seen it before). Great interview with De Palma as well. I hope Criterion has more De Palma planned for the future.

Here are the extras that are exclusive to Arrow's and to Criterion's Beyond the Valley of the Dolls:
    Arrow:
Introduction to Beyond the Valley of the Dolls by John LaZar
Screen tests for Michael Blodgett, Cynthia Myers, Harrison Page, Marcia McBroom
    High Definition photo galleries
Booklet featuring new writing on the film by critic Kat Ellinger

    Criterion:
New interview with filmmaker John Waters
Archival interviews with writer, director, and producer Russ Meyer
Q&A about the film from 1992 featuring Meyer, Ebert, La Zar, Read, and actors David Gurian, Charles Napier, Michael Blodgett, and Edy Williams
An essay by film critic Glenn Kenny

Everything else seems to be on both editions.

Criterion definitely wins out from that comparison.
"His lives inside of his own heart. That's an awful big place to live in."
-Billy Bob Thornton, 'Sling Blade' (1996)

"Some roads you shouldn't go down."
    -Billy Bob Thornton, 'Fargo' (2014)

I probably shouldn't have included the booklet on the Arrow as it was only included in the first pressing (along with The Seven Minutes on DVD, which is a nice extra, but Arrow is releasing that separately in August or September)

I don't feel too bad since I got the version with 7 minutes...and that had a pretty great Meyer interview. It'll depend on the quality/length of the Criterion interviews, but I don't see double-dipping on this one.

Of topic, but I find this one of the reasons that Arrow's limited edition nonsense is so stupid. If someone missed the Arrow BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS, there is now little reason to pick it up over the Criterion. Same thing with VIDEODROME. With the book and short films disc, a case could be made that it was worth picking up over the Criterion, but without those it is clear that the Criterion, with the Cronenberg/Irwin and Woods/Harry commentary tracks is the one to get.

The cover art for BLOOD SIMPLE is nice. It would be cool if they included both versions of the film, although I'm sure the Coen's would prefer if the theatrical cut wasn't on it.

If I thought 5here was a chance Criterion would've got BTVOTD, I wouldn't have purchased the Arrow version. I know it comes with 7 Minutes .....but I didn't like that one anyway
