    That's great news about MINISTRY OF FEAR. I love that film. Fritz Lang, Ray Milland, and Dan Duryea...good stuff.

    It is supposed to include the TV version. In fact, about a week before the newsletter clue, a poster over at the Criterion forum claimed that they talked to Alex Cox and he told them that Criterion was going to release REPO MAN and it would include all the stuff on the MoC release plus some newly created special feature.

    Repo Man is one of my favorite films, so the night I get the Blu I'll treat it to a nice romantic dinner. Soft lit candles with a nice pasta dish and some fine wine, then steal a 1964 Chevrolet Malibu.

    Criterion's New Years Day drawing

    Here seems to be the consensus:
    Man hanging from clock = SAFETY LAST/HAROLD LLOYD FILMS
    clock reading 3:10 = 3:10 TO YUMA
    music notes and leaves = AUTUMN SONATA
    clown on highwire = PIERRE ETAIX FILMS
    woman eating candy = LIFE IS SWEET
    screaming guy = SCANNERS (also means Criterion has THE BROOD)
    fire and gate = GATE OF HELL
    devil = THE DEVIL'S BACKBONE
    conch shell the devil is holding = THE LORD OF THE FLIES
    naked woman eating = BABETTE'S FEAST and NAKED LUNCH
    woman with the curtains pulled back = ALL THAT HEAVEN ALLOWS
    guy with eraser for head = ERASERHEAD
    kid and guy holding samurai sword and birdcage = THE KID, LE SAMOURAI, BARTON FINK, ZATOICHI, LA CAGE AUX FOLLES
