Lenzi's Almost Human coming from Shameless (NSFW)

So in the US we've had the awesome No Shame release to make us happy but I don't know that this has hit DVD in the UK yet? Either way, Shameless are putting it out sooner rather than later and are apparantly going to be releasing it with a lenticular cover using the attached image.

I can't figure out if I think this is awesome or awful. It'll definitely get peoples' attention, that's for sure.

I can live with this. A) Because numpty's largely not involved with Shameless releases, and b) it's just the type of bullshit Shameless (and their PR firm) have bcome known for in the UK. You've seen some of the "slow news" links I've posted from the British trash tabloids -- the Poms lap this stuff up like it's five star dining and fine wine.

I've always wanted to see this film, so I'll grab one when the price drops to five pounds* on Amazon UK as I don't believe in paying release/retail for anything home video-wise. Should only have to wait a couple of months for the price to drop through the floor...

    * Just about the whole Shameless catalogue can be had for a fiver a piece on Amazon UK, so second-guessing a dramatic price-drop post release isn't rocket science.

It's a great movie, if you've any affinity at all for Eurocrime stuff and/or Silva then you'll definitely enjoy it.

I can't really begrudge them for skinning up the art - sex sells and all that. The label is called Shameless after all, so it's in keeping with their aesthetic.

My pleasure! Well, I'm guessing since the comment's there: not all of our friends in Blighty!
But I guess in the average punter/lads mag set/football hooligan/chav bracket this blatant generalisation would hold water, yes?

Okay, what I meant is that if you read the Daily Mail or the Sun, you're going to love this cover...sheesh...

I think this panel is a little more accurate:

That's pretty schmick! I think, when the reddies are available, that I'll buy all of the other Shameless discs I don't have (that I don't already have on other labels or uncut versions of ala NYR). I think that'll total about five or six DVDs.
