Film Movement releasing John Woo's HEROES SHED NO TEARS on blu ray

Amazon already has it up for pre-order for June 25th release date. According to the specs it's going to be a 2K remaster with an interview with Eddy Ko and a booklet written by Grady Hendrix.

Wow. Didn't see this coming but this is good news. Hopefully they've got more Woo films in the works.

Criterion has Last Hurrah for Chivalry. Don't know if anyone has picked up the A Better Tomorrow movies.

Was this release delayed? Nobody seems to have it in stock.
Why would anybody watch a scum show like Videodrome? Why did you watch it, Max?

Received my copy the other day. It was actually on sale on Amazon with a $5 off coupon to bring the price to around $21. Unfortunately, it's back up to $32 now. Enjoyed the Eddy Ko interview in the special features. It's a pretty bare bones disc but does come with a nice Grady Hendrix booklet. You can see the interview in its entirety on vimeo here sans subs though.

My only bone of contention is that Eddy is clearly talking about HK director, Kirk Wong who went onto Hollywood to direct THE BIG HIT but the subtitles incorrectly attribute the director as KAT WONG. The error occurs not once but twice in sequence.

Up for pre-order. This version will come with the original Cantonese mono which the Film Movement blu ray decided not to include in their version.

    Cover art.
