Shit, I have BlacKkKlansman in my watchlist and still haven't checked it out. Despite all of his earlier praise, I think that Lee is just getting better as a filmmaker as time goes on.

This should have been a sequel to Da Sweet Blood of Jesus.

BLACKKLANSMAN is great, Mark. I feel like I was the only person in the world who liked CHI-RAQ but BLACKKKLANSMAN is admittedly a much better film.

I watched Blackklansman just a few days ago. The opening premise of the film just did not work for me. The joke is it's a black guy setting up a membership as a Klansman. But of course he can't do that because he's black. So he gets a white person to stand in for him and just does the conversations over the phone. Why the fuck would they split the task of being one nazi into a two man job? There's no reason to do that. But if you don't then the movies just Whiteklansman and that's not a movie. It's a shaky premise.

It's based on a true story actually, but some things were changed and/or exaggerated.
