    R.I.P. Ted Newsom

He popped up in a few Fred Olan Ray movies, did some commentaries and documentary work on plenty of genre stuff, wrote a lot - and was, from my experience interacting with him online at least, as nice a guy as he was knowledgeable.

It's being reported on FB and confirmed by Amanda Reyes on twitter that he passed away last night.

Very sorry to hear this. I didn't know him at all just thoroughly enjoyed reading his amazingly informative (and often hilarious) posts at various forums. Very witty guy. Haven't heard any of his commentaries but I did read various magazine articles. It's well worth going back and reading some of his posts at CHFB and Latarnia among other places. RIP.

Great tribute thread at the CHFB: https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/mons...61726#p1561726

Oh no! This is horrible! He was a great guy, funny and good-hearted. His love for everything Hammer Films was infectious. His documentary FLESH & BLOOD: THE HAMMER HERITAGE OF HORROR is fantastic!

    RIP

    Agree'd. Swell bloke all around.

The greater community of genre aficionados, commentators and monsters kids is a lot smaller than we realize. His loss is deeply felt.
