    Evil Dead Trap 1 & 2 BDs [2020/09/25]

Japanese BDs coming September 25, 2020.

    Both with English subtitles.

These are a result of the crowd funding campaign last year.

I assume it's just the films that are subtitled & NONE, if there are any, of the extras?

Films only. But I don't think there are any extras other than mini-size chirashi.

The original crowdfunded version was a 3 disc set with an unsubbed bonus dvd (making of, trailers, stills), but I don't think any that content is included here.

Great news! Love the first one. Like Ikeda a lot. His MERMAID LEGEND is great, too.

Did full resolution screenshots ever surface after the crowdfunding campaign sent out their discs?

Haven't seen any, but I haven't really been looking for either.

Just curious how these stack up against the old US DVDs in terms of picture quality.

I had the old Dutch "Japan Shock Video" discs, which were widescreen, but not anamorphic. The blu-rays have better colors and details. I had a blast revisiting part 1. It held up better than I expected. Part 2 is still relentlessly unhappy.
