I LOVE the nudie movies and she is awesome. The Immoral Three is up there with my favorites of hers and I love the Florida nudist camp stuff. Just so fantastically off the wall, she holds a place in my heart. Some of her stuff is just so goofy and terrible it's endearing really. I've only seen about half a dozen of her movies so far, but they all deliver the goods. Hey look at this lamp randomly she filmed for no reason....

Yeah, she's got a weird thing for lamps. They show up in a few of her movies and get an unusual amount of screen time.

Nude On The Moon is my favorite of the nudist films. Her roughies are great. Her porn is great too. Well, not great, but ridiculously entertaining.

I had my first taste of Doris Wishman last week with Deadly Weapons (1974) and Double Agent 73 (1974) on blu-ray. I wasn't sure what to think of DEADLY WEAPONS. It literally is a freakshow. Armed with some expectations, I ended up enjoying DOUBLE AGENT 73. It too is a freakshow. With DA73 I was prepared for Chesty consistently looking uncomfortable. I got the impression that a week prior to shooting Chesty was a Mid-western housewife that Doris Wishman found shopping in a grocery store and asked if she wanted to be in a "moving picture". When there wasn't something bizarre happening on screen there was still entertainment to be found in the film's craftsmanship (or lack thereof). At times and without warning the camera would take on a life of its own or struggled to stay in focus. The blu-ray really added to my enjoyment as well. The garish attire and decor really pop in HD.

I'm looking forward to seeing THE IMMORAL THREE soon.

I think she was a burlesque dancer wasn't she? Immoral Three has the same character she plays, but looks NOTHING like her. Not even an attempt. This makes me happy for some unexplainable reason. Adds to her (Wishman's) charm. I also love movie makers with a "continuity schmontinuity" approach.
