Since when has the sequel been considered a sacred cinematic classic?

Yeah I think that's a bit of hyperbole on AB's part.

I was fortunate enough to have seen the director's cut when it played theatrically last year in LA & it was definitely a memorable experience enjoying a true classic with like minded fans in a cozy theater like Cine Family. Alas, I already own the R2 Blu-ray from Arrow & the enticement of BRII isn't enough for me to double dip but you never know.

The Arrow LE set has a fair bit more supplemental material on it that didn't get ported over to the AB release too.

There are no extras related to BRII at all on the AB set (the movie stinks but there isn't even a trailer?) and the omitted the Revenge cut of BRII, so it's not quite a definitive set.

yeah, that's a glaring omission that AB omitted the revenge version of BRII. I see the Arrow LE # set is still available but they jacked up the price to nearly 40 quid now.
