It's probably true, since there is a separate listing for the DVD. Also coming out that day on DVD is FEMALE TEACHER: IN FRONT OF THE STUDENTS. Looks like Don's also got two Fred Lincoln pornos coming out in February.

Diabolik apparently got the same information, because they've got the Fairy in a Cage blu-ray up for pre-order as well. If this is true, that's fantastic news. I've absolutely loved Impulse's Nikkatsu line...the only thing that could make it better is if they started doing BD's.

My 'Sex Hunter' DVD arrived today. I can honestly say it's one of the worst films I've seen this year. Only 69 minutes long, and still it managed to bore the hell out of me. I don't care for sex scenes in films but what I saw today was extremely annoying. By the way, where's the bloodshed that the text on the DVD box promised me? Where's the violent revenge? I call this a rip-off

Agreed about SEX HUNTER--the worst of the five or six Roman Porno titles I've purchased. Straight to the sell pile. The other titles have all been good-to-great.

Some info from Don's Facebook page re: the Nikkatsu movies on Blu-ray:

"We had to squeeeeeeeeeeze this one out of Nikkatsu for HD, which is why we decided to release it on Blu. The only one, so far, we were able to get an HD transfer for. It's pretty controversial, like MALFORMED MEN, which is why it hasn't made an appearance on DVD before. They finally let us have it."

I'm kinda surprised the others weren't HD transfers. They look great.

I'll be tempted to pick it up in both Blu-ray and DVD. I'm really digging these films.
