I was never a huge fan of these guys but some of their stuff is rad enough.

From EVR:

"Here’s some news that should delight navel-gazing music fans all over the world—My Bloody Valentine’s two full-length albums will finally be remastered and reissued this year. According to The Quietus, the pioneering shoegaze act’s albums, 1988's Isn't Anything and 1991's Loveless have received a full-on sonic touch-up courtesy of the band’s mastermind, Kevin Shields, and will arrive on May 7th or 8th (depending where you live) via Sony. It is also reported that the band’s universally accepted masterpiece, Loveless, will arrive with a bonus disc containing a never-before-heard reworking of the album from the original tapes by the elusive and notoriously fussy Shields. But, wait, there’s more! Sony is also bundling the band’s EPs, Feed Me With Your Kiss, You Made Me Realise, Glider and Tremolo, together along with some rare tracks for a nifty little compilation. It's not clear if vinyl versions are planned. Check out Slow from You Made Me Realise below and smile."

You have to wonder though, how much of a 'full-on sonic touch-up' should this stuff get? I'd be worried about it sounding to clean and taking away from a lot of what made it interesting music in the first place. It's probably in good hands with Shields though. I guess we'll find out soon enough.
